Seoul, KLIA, Bandung

I can't wait to go to Seoul, Korea! I even dreamt of going to KLIA (pic above) but I never made into the plane.. (I hope it is not a sign.)

I can imagine myself walking to the boarding gate, pulling my fabulous pink luggage (that i haven't bought yet..) behind me, holding my passport and boarding pass in my other hand.. Stepping into the plane and 6 hours later, arrive in a completely different country!

The last time I have been out of country was in 2007. It was Bandung and it wasn't even a proper vacation. I went there for Asian Universities Debate Championship. However, thanks to our suckiness in debate, we lost the preliminary rounds and we got a few days to spare for sight-seeing. I love Bandung!!! The weather was just nice.. not too hot, not too cold. Imagine a breezy dawn, but the temperature lasts for the whole day. Golden, huh? Bandung is the heaven for shoppers! Since Malaysian Ringgit is more expensive than Indonesian Rupiah, everything is cheap!! Even the designers label is relatively cheap, compared to those sold in Malaysia.

The city is definitely No.1 in my book for the best city to experience Indonesian culture, and shop while doing that. I remember riding the 'Angkutan Kota'. It is a public transport that looks like a van. Some of it do not have any door, so people can step in and out (even when the van is moving) freely. It is very fascinating how far the citizens go to search for a day's earning. While we were stopping at a traffic light, a young guy hopped on the van, and started serenading us with a song while strumming his old guitar.. We were shocked, to say the least but we ended up giving him some money. After a few of similar incident occurences, we were used to people suddenly coming up to our faces, singing gibberish (some of them were good singers though) and holding out their palms for money. I strongly recommend Bandung for travelers who seeks for excitement, beautiful scenery and retail therapy!
