Yeah. Ok, I lied.
We usually hit the sack by 12am and wake up when we've slept too much i.e at 10pm. hehehe. The walking and commuting has really taken it's toll on my 22-year-old body. Im still adjusting to the weather and life here. (oh wow. it sounded like im living here for good. ;p)
So, on the night of Day-1, Nu'u, her cousin Azza and I went to the largest indoor shopping mall in Seoul which is Times Square in Yeongdeungpo. It's really near to our place in Guro-gu. We went there since it is only appropriate to explore our viccinity before going to other areas. And, it was Commuting In Seoul 101 by Azza. She really helped us to get used to the bus and subway system. We bought our T-Money (equivalent to Touch N' Go in Malaysia) when we arrived at Incheon Airport. It is actually cheaper to pay using this card than cash.
Our first impression of the mall is, this is similar to Pavilion! They have high-end boutiques like Louis Vuitton, Coach etc.. and the building is new too. We went to this popular bookstore because Azza wanted to get a membership card. Nothing special about the store, it's similar to Boarders, Kinokuniya etc. We took a picture inside the store but this one cranky ahjussi told us off. ;p
Entrance of Kyobo (on the left, Azza and Nu'u is on the right)
After a quick stroll around the mall, we saw a big-ass christmas tree outside so we hurried into the cold to take pictures. Hot or cold, pictures is our priority. :) Yeppuji?
Times Square's Christmas Tree
A small garden in front of the mall. It adds to the festive mood.
Actually, before we went to Times Square.. we did a bit of shopping in an underground mall just beside it. I bought my chocolate boots for 15000won = RM45, a scarf for 5000 won = RM 15 and a legging for 8000 won = RM24. All in all, it's a good bargain. ;)
On our way back to the apartment.
Buying some midnight snacks at Tous Les Jour bakery. Bakeries in Seoul are all pretty and cosy. The breads are delicious too.
Yumyum~
