Pain

On Pain by Kahlil Gibran

Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.
Even as the stone of the fruit must break, that its heart may stand in the sun, so must you know pain.
And could you keep your heart in wonder at the daily miracles of your life,
your pain would not seem less wondrous than your joy;
And you would accept the seasons of your heart,
even as you have always accepted the seasons that pass over your fields.
And you would watch with serenity through the winters of your grief.
Much of your pain is self-chosen.
It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self.
Therefore trust the physician, and drink his remedy in silence and tranquillity:
For his hand, though heavy and hard, is guided by the tender hand of the Unseen,
And the cup he brings, though it burn your lips,
has been fashioned of the clay which the Potter has moistened with His own sacred tears.

Ranting on a Sunday night

Ahh.. Sunday night. Bittersweet, Sunday night. It is my down time but it also reminds me of Monday morning. Urgh.

Watched Ironman 2 last night with Bazlaa, Paan and Paan's friends. The movie was AWE-SOME!!! I found my jaw dropped a few times, gawking at the awesomeness of Ironman and Tony Stark. Yes, there's a difference. Ironman, is when he puts on the suit and Tony Stark is when he is not and I can have the magnificent view of his rear end. thihihihi.. I am completely smitten over Robert Downey Jr. Gosh, am I turning into those ditsy, dollar-sign-branded-eyes, 20-something girls who find men over 40 to be hot?? God forbid. I think my taste remains the same. Guys around my age, fair skin, tall, Asian. Well, Robert Downey Jr is the exception. *cue Paramore's The Only Exception*

Awww.. How I miss ranting in my blog. I was about to write something about work but I got to my senses and quickly hit the 'backspace' button. Hahaha! Enough talk about that. Anything interesting about my life? Not really. Not much action. Maybe I should spend some time to seriously think about what I want to do about my life. Maybe teach English in Seoul. (yes, i love that city too much.) Maybe enroll in volunteer work in Africa. That's interesting! Hehehe..

Dream on. Sounds like somebody is trying to take the easy route. *smirks*
