The Jinx

Still recuperating from the futsal injury i suffered last month, i have met with another accident. a rather.. freaky one which i will explain why a little bit later.

After struggling for 7 sleepless hours to do the bloody CP take home test, i woke up at 8.30am on Monday morning to find myself running out of time cuz the dateline is at 9am. I walked to AIKOL (im still amazed that i didnt take the car. babo!), took the elevator to 3rd floor only to realise that the private law dept is on the 4th floor. I ascended a flight of stairs and still kept my composure at 8.57am. Jumpe Ya kat dpn bilik Madam Noraini, die kate Pak Abu da kuar from his room. My light steps broke into clumsy run. Made into the dept at 9.01am and thank god a good number of ppl are still submitting their answers and writing down their name. Phew! Close call..

We made our way slowly and while i was telling Ya why i was late.. my left foot stepped onto a box placed in front of a lecturer's room. Fucketty fuck. My left leg went west, my right leg slammed the floor, my flip-flop no longer on my soles but on my ankle. I tried to get up but the box slipped again and i was in a birthing position. I scrambled to pull my kain bj kurung that rode up my thighs. to top it off, Pak Leh was right behind me and even offered to help. graceful, aren't I? ;) There was nothing i could do but laugh it off. Tak pulak lepas tu die gune tangge yg same. LOL! After the adrenaline's effect wore off, sakit mcm haram and rase basah2 pulak lutut kanan tu. Tgk kain, dah berdarah pulak. Great.

Last semester, while running to beat the dateline for CP submission, i blacked out inside the AIKOL elevator. Darn low blood pressure. This semester, fell AFTER i have submitted the CP test. dah tenang dah.. tp nape boleh jatuh lagi? Am i jinxed by a vindictive CP ghost? Or was it a divine sign to tell me that being a lawyer is not an option for me? The latter kot. :)

i just found out that we'll start fasting on Saturday. is that right? im not even sure and im too lazy to even google it. the plan in my head was that i would ganti puasa and have 2 days break cuz i thot 1st ramadhan falls on monday. guess.. it's a miscalculation.

today's theme is procrastination. im still wearing my baju kurung without the bottom half. i haven't taken my shower yet.. haven't solat isyak yet.. haven't revised evidence law yet (im having a test on wednesday).. haven't finished menggantikan puasa yet.. haven't tidy up my desk yet.. and now im confused abt the grammar. haven't finish? haven't finished? whatever la.. mengantuk plak 1 hal.. haihh..

this is the worst semester to date. (there will not be other sem after this one. insyaAllah. )the laziest ive ever been. why, oh why? am i throwing the towel on education? graduation is so near yet so far. i dare say, i cudnt care less abt my results. maybe the sense of complacency made me worse. ive seen ppl with less cgpa than mine got into great firms. heck, i dont even know if i want to be a lawyer. blame it on the lawyers who came to AIKOL on last saturday. i was on the fence abt venturing into legal field, but they totally pushed me off to the other side that is anything but legal. LAWYERS SUCK!!!! maybe im generalizing.. let me make it clear.. BIG-SHOT, STUCK-UP, KNOW-IT-ALL, PAIN-IN-THE-ASS LAWYERS SUCK!!!!! BIG TIME!!!!!

p/s: if i do become a lawyer in the future, maybe ill edit this entry. ;)

weddings..

sitting on my sleeping matress, listening to 90's music, under the dim yellow light.. i'm at ease. ;)

went to ajin's big brother's wedding in Shah Alam. the reception was beautiful.. the food was superb. (i-kid-you-not.. among the best foods ive tasted in wedding receptions).. the band was entertaining.. ajin sang two songs (beautifully) too.. we cam-whored our way through the reception.. all in all, a nice ceremony.. heck, they even had joget lambak, poco2 and line dance. bukan main lagi auntie tu nari. hehe!

tabiat kami yg buat wedding org lain, mcm wedding kawan sendiri tu sudah biase.. kakak sheera.. dah. kakak milo.. dah. ms wedding abg sakinah tu, kiteorg behaved gak la sbb yg civilised (aifaa, ya, bazlaa and me) je yg pegi. (thehehe..)

abg ajin's reception made our list of 'wedding yg kiteorg buat mcm wedding kwn sendiri'. thanks for inviting us, ajin.. ;)

last friday, after lunch at mancongkam, sakinah, kak lean, azraa, milo and i went back to UIA at 2:15pm (i think.. da lupe.) since im in safiyyah, they had to pusing UIA twice just to send me back. as we were passing the econs building and library.. a throng of men, coming back from Friday prayer and were going the opposite way of the traffic to get to their mahallah. i have never known anybody in UIA that thinks the one-way traffic system is good except for this very day.

It's only the 1st day of the week, but i felt like ive been in UIA for days..

right now Hwangbo's Mature is playing. this song reminds me of We Got Married. I have to say, that show is the gate to my interest to Korean entertainment. teringat Hwangbo and Hyunjoong.. Andy and Solbi.. Crown J and In Young.. Shinae (she's a real newlywed now!!! congrats~) and Alex (poor you..).. i miss the couples! MBC, i suggest you do a WGM reunion special to save your Special Sunday slot. ;)
